Storytellers come together for a Storytelling SLAM

Storytelling SLAM

Each year five of the area’s most accomplished storytellers come together for a Storytelling SLAM. In the spirit of fun and fundraising, the storytellers compete to win the title of the best storyteller of the evening. Each year’s event has a different storytelling theme. The event begins with a reception featuring a variety of finger foods from 801 Kitchen and Bar as well as wine and other beverages.

Join us this year for the 4th annual Story teller Slam.  This is an exciting evening of tantalizing tales filled with humor and mysterious events.

“Island Tales Story Champion” on the evening of Thursday, October 5 at GFCW Women’s Club of Fernandina Beach at 201 Jean LaFitte Boulevard.

Presented by Friends of the Library, this year’s storytelling theme “Relationships” runs the gamut of emotions with thrills, laughs, surprises and more. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and libations first, then sit back and be regaled by some of the area’s finest storytellers.

The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. with fine food and a cash bar. Storytellers take the stage at 7:00 p.m. to entertain you and earn your cash votes.
