Friends of the Library is pleased to offer a presentation of Seniors vs. Crime. This free, hour-long program will be held in the Community Room of the Fernandina Beach Library on Wednesday evening, July 19th, at 7:00 p.m.
Sponsored by the Florida Office of the Attorney General, the Seniors vs. Crime Project is a non-profit volunteer organization that teaches seniors how to protect themselves from becoming victims of consumer fraud. This presentation will be led by Chuck Sheehan, a 6-year volunteer for the organization, who spent his career in medical malpractice. In addition to educational outreach, the Seniors vs. Crime Project offers advice and assistance with civil suit disputes and helps victims resolve complaints free of charge. The Seniors vs. Crime Project has one goal: to reduce victimization of senior citizens by providing education and crime prevention programs.
To register, please call the library at 904-530-6500, extension 1.
